Environmental Sustainability
A Topical Collection of Journal of Sustainability Research

Topical Collection Information

Aims

Environmental Sustainability contributes to the overall effort to enhance sustainability in society with a particular focus on subject areas supporting the sustainable management of the total environment. The aim of the section is therefore to publish research that will lead to a sustainable environment benefiting both society and industry in the long-term.

Scope

Environmental Sustainability is defined as the rate of renewable resource harvest, pollution creation and non-renewable resource depletion that can be continued indefinitely. If these elements cannot be continued forever, then they should not be considered as sustainable. The scope of this section is therefore concerned with research on renewable resources, pollution control and non-renewable resource depletion.

All articles in this Topical Collection are subject to normal journal peer-review procedure, and editorial decisions will be made by guest editors, which are overseen by journal editorial leadership. For submissions to this Topical Collection, if there are conflicts of interest between the Topic Editor and authors, the submissions will be handled by another Editor from Editorial Board who will manage the peer review process and make the decision whether to accept or reject the paper after peer review.
